Amanda Walton, B.A, ICD.D

Amanda joined the Board in May 2021 and her current term expires in 2026. She is currently a member of the Human Resources & Compensation Committee, Governance, Regulatory Affairs & Nominations Committee and the Stakeholder Committee.
Amanda has spent her career as a communications professional, having more than 30 years experience providing strategic communications advice to clients. Currently an independent communications consultant, she was Senior Vice President and Partner at Advance Planning & Communications prior to its sale.
Amanda is the former Chair of the Board of Directors of Ports Toronto, having completed her nine-year tenure as the City of Toronto appointee. While on the Ports of Toronto Board, she served as the Governance & Human Resources Committee Chair, and was a member of the Audit & Finance and Pension & Communications and Outreach Committees of the Board. Previous Board experience includes serving as a Governor of Crescent School, President of the Albany Club of Toronto, a member of the Ontario Advertising Review Board, a member of the Board of Directors of Ontario Place, and a Director of the Canadian National Exhibition Association.
A graduate of the University of Toronto (Victoria College) with an Honours Bachelor of Arts degree, Amanda has also completed the Directors Education Program at the Rotman School of Management and holds the ICD.D designation.
