Fiona joined Tarion’s Board in 2023 and her current term expires in 2025. Fiona currently serves as a member of the Investment Committee and the Human Resources & Compensation Committee.
She is a passionate advocate for affordable housing and has devoted her career to opening doors to prosperity by building with families living in core housing need. Throughout her 23 year career, she has become known for her collaborative approach and her ability to build strong relationships with partners and stakeholders in the community. She has a deep understanding of the challenges facing low-income families and is committed to finding innovative solutions to address these issues.
Since 2017 Fiona has served as the Executive Director and CEO of Habitat for Humanity Windsor-Essex. Under her guidance, Habitat has undertaken a number of ambitious projects, including building affordable homes in Windsor, Leamington, and Kingsville and most notably the construction of Canada’s first 3D printed homes and the first multi-unit 3D printed building in North America.
Fiona has an extensive background in housing advocacy, non-profit management and leadership. She previously held leadership positions at the Downtown Mission and Caledon Community Services. Prior to joining the Tarion Board she sat on the board of the Windsor Essex Home Builders Association, the City of Windsor Housing Advisory Committee and she is a past president of the Association of Fundraising Professionals, Southwestern Ontario Chapter.
Fiona was awarded the YMCA Peace Medal, BizX Magazines Powerhouse Professional Award and in 2022 she was named the Windsor Essex Chamber of Commerce Professional of the Year for her contributions and leadership in the affordable housing sector.
